As an undergraduate at Northwestern University, I made a big bet on my generation's capacity to change the world, and have been working to that end ever since. I founded a number of initiatives at Northwestern that have reshaped the educational landscape for undergraduates interested in community and international development, including the Global Engagement Summit and the Northwestern University Center for Global Engagement. I built the most read web portal (more than 2 million unique visitors and 150,000 signed up members) about Social Entrepreneurship on the internet with Change.org and am a recognized expert in the social innovation and social entrepreneurship startup space. I am currently building a web startup for resource exchange in San Francisco, and advise numerous products and startups in the social innovation and web space. I'm a TEDster, and have designed numerous nontraditional conferences, including TEDxVolcano, put together in collaboration with senior TED staff in just over 24 hours during the Icelandic eruption in 2010. I write and speak regularly about the changing nature of the Millennial generation.
